A Friday and a Christmas Market

Friday. I love Fridays. I wasn’t particularly focused last Friday, so I decided to stop early and drag a friend out for a drink. So I did.

Say hi to Sandra! We had a glass of wine (me) and a beer (Sandra) in the sun before cramming ourselves into her car and headed north.

This was the goal: A German Christmas Market! Yeah, yeah, I know it’s slightly weird going to Christmas markets in the middle of the summer, but what the heck – I like it!

We went around the stalls first, checking out if there was anything we wanted to buy. This Melbourne Rooftop Honey looked absolutely delicious.

Someone fit in like a fish in water (I totally don’t know if that saying works in English, but I will use it anyway). After all, she is German.

We found a mirror bauble and found that quite enjoyable.

After a bit these two ladies showed up. <3

Angela was all excited to stretch her German speech muscles for an evening.

We went to get some drinks.

Gl├╝hwein and eggnog. The first eggnog I’ve ever had, actually. I thought it would be vile but it turned out that it was actually quite delicious.

Lani liked it too!

Some of us craved a bit of food as well. Angela got some sausage eyes.

When it started getting darker, we packed up our things and headed for dinner. This whole Christmas market thing got me a wee bit excited about the Swedish Chrissy market. Only 2 weeks to go!
