On the road

I see myself as a traveler at heart, always dreaming of the next place to go. Me and the husband used to spend ages dreaming about places to go and planning the next trip. Every summer we had four weeks off. Usually we leaved Stockholm just a couple of hours after leaving work and arriving the night (often very late) before going back to work again. Those four weeks were bliss.

Since moving abroad things have changed. Instead of going away for our vacation each year, we have gone back home to Sweden. And no, Sweden, don’t take it personal. I mean, I adore Sweden and it’s amazing meeting up with friends and family, but it’s not really a vacation.

I’m thinking about making a resolution to myself to change that. Yes, we’ll still go back to Sweden, it’s not that, but we need to take time to go new places, to widen our horizon and find new fascinations. I tried to compile a list of my dream destinations, but it got way too long. Truth be told, I don’t really care where I’m going as long as it’s somewhere.

On that note, I’m going to start dreaming/planning for going somewhere around Christmas. Maybe Mongolia, Peru or Botswana. The choices are endless. Where do you want to go?
