Abi and Tom, who were kind enough to lend their spare bedroom and floor to us, were even kinder and lent us a car. So we decided to go on an outing to Bruny island. It was a crisp day but filled with awesome stuff: from befriending a bunch of alpacas (by FAR the friendliest alpacas I’ve ever met! Yay!) to stuffing ourselves with oysters (Angela, not me), cheese (both!), local beer (Angela again, I was driving so I bought and brought with me!) and chocolates, we might have focused more on the food than nature. Although we snuck in a hike, a sunset lookout and two required ferry rides, I think we did plenty. We stayed overnight not far from Bruny Island in a little cottage that looked like a remnant from the 80s. It had lots of old board games and an abundance of floral patterns. As it should be.
Damn I miss that Tasmanian cheese right about now.
